G-body big-block headers on a big block S10?

Well, this all stems from the fact that I sold my ZZ4 motor that was to go in my 88. Last night I got the bright idea to stuff a 502 in it instead.

I know the G-body Malibu/Monte is very similar in front chassis design to an S10, but does anyone here know if they are close enough that a set of G-body big block headers could be used on a S10 with slight mods?

Here is a pic of a malibu with a BB and headers. The fit looks real similar to what might work in a S10 with a few firewall mods. Guess I need to go to the boneyard and get some frame width measurements. :evillaugh:

I have a metric car (80ish Cutlass i think)here thats getting built in to a dirt track car and a '85 S10 frame also. If i think about it tomorrow i'll take some measurements and compare them.
I'm pretty sure that even though the suspension is similar the frame is wider on the cars.

ok well for what its worth when me and LIL BLU were buildin the dirt track car (79 malibu) last winter we thought about using a ZQ8 sway bar on the front so we did some measuring and S10 frame was deffinately different as far as width
I think the S10 is narrower than the malibu but I cant remeber which one was which BUT i know they were different
we ended up using a MONTE SS sway bar which is as thick or thicker than the ZQ8 bar

Without measuring & as an owner of both, I would say that the G body frame is wider. You're thinking though, keep at it. Gotta be something out there that can be used with a little modification.
