Need some car suggestions

Right now my wife is driving a 2000 Eclipse and is starting to think about getting a new car. She wants another "sports car" but also wants something more practical for whenever we decide to have kids. Here is the important stuff:
- Low (ish) miles, I would say under 50K
- Around $20,000
- Good MPG is a plus

I showed her a 2010 TDI A3 and I got a "meh" response so I think Audi and VW are out for now. Also tried to get her into a Subaru WRX wagon and she said there wasn't enough room in the back seat (said it was similar to a MazdaSpeed3 her friend has).

I'm mainly looking for some suggestions for cars I may be overlooking that she might like.

Forester XT

more room than the WRX and just as easy to modify, as most parts are interchangeable.

Take it for a test drive and see what you think, they're very comfortable. And have all the attachments in the rear seats for rearward facing car seats.

FYI the newest generation imprezza i think the 2012 model year and newer the interiors redesigned with a ton more room in the backseat. I had both an 08 and 10 imprezza and was in my buddys wifes 12 last week and was shocked that i 6'3" adult male could sit in the back with another adult male driving

I straight up an in love with my Dodge charger. The V6 does have good pickup and has ton of room for kids or adults in back and lots of trunk space. If I would have got the RT I would have had issues

Thanks for all the suggestions, I think I may take her out to browse some cars in real life. A lot of the suggestions will probably make the list of cars for her to look at. And so far she has no interest in getting another Magnum for the household.
