Driver side mostly buttoned up

Heater box sand blasted, primered, and spray bombed.

Drivers rear footwell done

Pass rear footwell is solid (only pic)

But rear seat well is ate up. Lots of bends, angles, etc. Unsure how I'm going to get it done.

And got a set of svo green top injectors for cheap (50lb/hr). Once I get everything going I'm going to install them and maybe mess with a little E85. All the gas stations around me sell it and have I the ethanol content sensor when I got the factory fuel lines..

Little bondo

Cocoon

Lots of sanding and high fill primer

Then bombed satin black

It's far from perfect, but it's all one color and rust is gone. Its getting checked off the list. Next is glovebox door, ashtray, and steering column. Easy after this.

Thank you sir. It'll probably be a good 10 footer once the paint flattens out. I just wanted to get it done, so tired of seeing rust and silver spray paint. There are flaws. A good paint job is 90% prep, 10% paint. This is more 60/40. Maybe 40/60..

I'm debating on spraying the steering column flat red to break up the black for the time being. Hoping to get the other things sprayed this week, then have to clean up the floor, add seam sealer, go stupid with brushing rustoleum, then maybe start bolting hard parts back on this ol girl. Time to leave jackstand city.

*EDIT* Also need to seriously try to find some color that matches the aneurysm red so I can paint the windshield channel. Might carry an a-pillar cover and look over duplicolor..

This sounds like an horrible idea btw.

Just do it black and let it ride. Or if you just absolutely have to have a contrast use a silver maybe.

Lol I just got all the silver spray off the dash! If that's the case I'll just bolt this mother back in. Got to figure out how to cut all the auto stuff off the collar and smooth it out or replace it. Don't want to destroy it, but it's hard to ignore it.

Man the dash is looking really nice. No surprise it scratches easy. I can't get a decent pic with the garage lights, it's too dark.

Butchered channel.

Slept on it, what about gloss or flat black on the column?

Looked around the net last night, couple videos of how people hacked their columns to get rid of the shifter.. Not sure I want to do that, but it's not doing me any good as it is. Also seen where Summit has a bunch of "universal" columns that are in the $230 price range. Might end up hacking my column.

None.

Was getting ready to blast the glovebox door, ashtray, column cover Wed night and my airline blew @ the chuck. Was trying to find a barb that would fit when an illegal mexican that works for the landscaping company a guy is running out of a rental house showed up. Was waiting for his ride and his phone went dead, needed a charge. He got enough battery to make a call, couldn't tell his ride where he was, ride couldn't tell him where HE was, so I drove him home. Scrapped the night. Thursday was all family turkey stuff.
Started back on Friday looking for wiring harness boxes and ended up trying to clean up the hoarder shed, then family came in early, scrapped that night.

Sat morning had to help nephew with an exhaust install (glasspack off Salty on his Ranger because stock muffler inlet pipe detached ), then family stuff. Sunday was more family things, then maintenance on the wife's ride, then had more family things to do. In between I masked off the dash so I can spray the glovebox door, ashtray, and column cover. Also going to find the best match to the red and spray the exposed piece of cowl cover to match the car so it doesn't stand out too bad, a-pillar cover in back of Tahoe so I can see if any duplicolor is closer than the rustoleum lol.

Christmas money came in a little early and spent it just as quick. Rear seat well pan, bumpers for the glovebox door and pedals, parking brake pad, PAC-1218 valve springs, Summit rocker trunion upgrade, wiring pigtails for all the T56 sensors, and injector adapters were ordered. So, little more metal work on the interior to do, little more peripheral wrenching, and engine won't be firing up stock as planned. Can't wait to hear it camming through longtubes!!

First box showed up last night. The injector harness adapters I purchased aren't going to work. They're for flex injector harness (EV1) to LT1 style injector (EV6 USCAR). My harness is non-flex and I can't find adapters for it. So, have to send them back and think I'm just going to go junkyard humping to find 8 injector connectors that I can splice in. Everyone selling EV6 USCAR pigtails are either China cheap or expensive. I'll take dirty factory designed connectors, thank you.
