i know this is an old thread but you can buy 2.5" axle spring perches and weld them on for about 6$ and reuse your stock u-bolts and flip the bolt plate over and switch sides and you wont need shock extenders or anything else either

i have a whopping 12$ in my rear suspension over factory setup because i replaced all the leaf spring bolts with new and a custom made rear shackle

oh yeah dont try and drive it anywhere w/o welding it first you sont get very far before you twist the axel and destroy your u joint straps
