Doing work. Cleaned out behind the shed, bunch of rotors, axle shafts from the blazer, the head from Angus w/ the burnt valve, headache bar off that #$@(#*&$% CJ5, couple radiators, pumps, Salty's old gas tank, 2 aneurysm red tail pipes, etc etc.. 1100 lbs in all, thought I'd get a nice car fund bump. Lol, I can possibly take the family to Applebees.. or Cracker Barrel and splurge on dessert. Scrap prices are not what they used to be.

Scrap prices have been horrible for quite some time.
So bad, that the local junkyards are holding on to majority of the crushed cars. Its crazy seeing hundreds of rows of stacked crushed cars filling all available space. They just keep waiting for prices to go back up. |

Yup. I've all but quit collecting scrap from work. Still snag some aluminum here and there, but aluminum prices are dang near down to what high steel prices were a couple years ago.

i have about 100 pounds of brass here at work from old dead robot parts.
been sitting on it waiting on the market to creep back up so we can cash in and all the coworkers can go to lunch one friday.

it's definitely come in handy over the years. Think just about every family member has driven it at one point or another.. When you're ready we can plan something to get it solid again. Hell before you know it Aidan will be asking for the keys.
