We need a fitness subforum *MY TURN!!!!* **Joined a gym**

I do fairly well at losing weight, but I do even better at putting it on lol

I don't really eat a lot but the problem is, other than weekends my job is a sit down job, and I don't hardly ever get energetic over it.

SO yesterday I signed up at a 24/7 Gym, The only drawback to it is it's a little smokey inside because it connects to a bar... For some that wouldn't be a problem, but for allergies, it is a tad... But they do what they can to keep it minimal.

As of this morning, i'm at 234, my goal is 185-190, and to be fairly muscular like I was about 6 years ago, again.

Phone doesnt have a self timer and my cameras are at home, nor do I have a mirror here but, this pic should do as its the closest representation of what I look like right now

You can see I've got quite a bit of a gut (I'm on the left)

Gonna slim down overall, thats the main goal.. I have tons of lower strength but since my accident hardly any upper strength, so gaining that back is the secondary goal

I get to start using the Gym tomorrow once my key is made, so this should be fun!

I just have to choose the right "routine" to follow, I will be going every night, unless I'm not in the area.

I would love it if a local gym was open 24 hours! Once the kids are in bed, mine closes in an hour. By the time I drive there, there's only about 30 minutes of useful time if everything goes right! Wife goes in the morning before she leaves for work, then I've got the kids all day til bedtime.

glad you joined a gym Jon, I wish we had some good gyms around here, I probably just get some kind of a weight bench and just use it at home

I was going to do that, and put it on my neighbors back lanai, but i'm sorta kinda wavering away from him, I've grown up, he's still stuck in the high school stage, and I don't want to deal with it

67 sign up and 37 a month wasn't bad, for something I can use 24/7.

anytimefitness.com see if theres one in your area. I can get into any anytimefitness club with the membership so when I travel I have options

Yeah theres a Curves gym, KINDA close to ya'lls place.... that'd only be good for Lara.... but there's a Golds on North Lindbergh

man, if we lived closer I'd go with ya whenever.... I know your work schedule is pretty ****ered up and would be pretty random times of heading to the gym, which fits me well lol

You don't need a routine, you need to focus on specific muscle groups each day (never work the same group two days in a row).
