experience with ebay turbos
Anyone know anyone who has played with ones from the vender iluvtacotaco. In particular I am considering using the T28's with water cooling and build in gate for $130 Or Maybe the T03 but external gate and BOV. I hear this makes a cooler sound and it should also make more power although it is then only oil cooled. |

nothing wrong with oil cooled. just dont get it all hot and spooled up then shut it down.
search around on turboforums i know guys over there use them. some with great sucess. most disassemble them and make sure they are CLEAN on the inside. i dont know what CI your motor is but IMO the best bang for the buck turbo is the S400, some refer to it as the s480. it has put quite a few streetcars in the 9s

Building a 1927 bugatti veyron putting twin turbos on a pair of stock LS1s to make a 16 cyl quad turbo. With the stock internals I only want 6-7 psi cost and built in amenities and quicker boost is more important than big boost.

Anyone with experience on air to liquid intercoolers?
In theory they should provide less volume for faster boost. Downside is added complexity and costs and if it springs a leak you have a chance of hydraulicking the motor. |
