ya grind out the openings on the flange. buy some collectors from summit and cut out the flattened pipe and weld in a straight pipe to a bigger collector. then do the same for the y pipe or have a new one made to fit edelbrocks. even though my edelbrocks were of poor flow quality. with my heads, cam and intake i had 0 for bottomend power. but had a sH!t load of top. i needed a little higher stall than 3000 probably 3200 and i would of had mid 1.7 60 fts.

How much will the new y-pipe cost? Who is it from? And will it work for a 96 2dr blazer? Anyone know what track times would increase by? Thanks.

has anyone put the SLP Y-Pike on a five speed, if there is what did you do to make fit under the transmission. I read about cutting the fins on the trans, has anyone done it. i have a 03 X five speed. Very interrested in the deal on the Y-Pike.

i installed a slp y-pipe on my 98 with a 5 speed today. it does fit with some cutting and you need to flatten the pipe under the trans a little (about a 1/2 inch)

you have to cut the center fin all the way to the trans (flush)then the 2 on each side of the center 1 down about 1/2 way. then smash the top of the pipe under the trans down about 3/8-1/2"
i have pics of everything i had to do i will try and get them up tonight some time.
