Oil cooler is hard on these trucks. The front diff is so close to the factory oil cooler port on the pan, theh put plugs in there instead of the typical block off plate.

You would have to do a thread on adapter and run a cooler and remote filter.

Not saying its not doable or even worth while. Just a bit harder than every other LS Motor out there.

Yea, I've been reading about using a threaded adapter where the oil filter is normally. Then putting a remote filter elsewhere in the engine bay.

Yea, I don't think it will work. I haven't looked real close though to be sure. In all honesty, it's conjecture at this point. I have other more pressing issues to address first, and honestly am hoping I can simply drive the thing for the rest of the summer without messing with at this point.

Actually going to use it to drop the boat in the Ohio this afternoon. Going to a notoriously slippery ramp and don't want to risk the Traverse being drug backwards into the water. We'll see how she does.

15 days since the last post........Absolutely nothing to report.......I've been driving it daily, towed to the lake a few times with it, even raced an older ('99-ish) Camaro with it up an entrance ramp (beat him by about 1.5 lengths@100mph).

Finally just driving it.

Hope that doesn't jinx me!

No idea. I have performed ZERO changes and they've essentially stopped. Changed my driving habits a shade (it stays running at the sitters house in the morning), but otherwise no new parts installed, and nothing else futzed with. It just stopped doing it really. Even did a couple rapid start-stop scenarios at the boat ramp with it and it started fine every time.

Gremlin went on vacation best I can tell. Hope he gets lost on the way home, but I'm not holding my breathe.

100% agree. I'm not driving it much more than about 40-50 miles from home, and have recently acquired a AAA membership to cover the trucks and the boat on a trailer. So away we go!
