Backspacing on ZR2's is 6" stock, Its best to get a rim with 5"- 6" of BS, but they are hard to find. This is neccessary so your wheels and tires do not stick out too far which may cause rubbing which is hard on truck and tire, possibly ripping the flare right off, or stress on the ball joints.

** Rim/Tire Fitment chart for 4WD Jimmys/Blazers needed

Hi everyone:

I see that there is a 'sticky' with **New Updated Rim/Tire Fitment For S Trucks**...

But, what about us owners of 4WD Jimmys and Blazers (specifically, in my case, the 2 door version)?

If you go to 'TireRack' and search for aftermarker wheels - there are a few 18" and one 17" upgrade... are these really all that is available?

Is the Jimmy/Blazer offset and sizing so odd that other truck's upgrades won't work?

I know that the fact that my truck is 4WD, has something to do with it, as the hub sizes and geometry is different from 2WD, and conventional wisdom says that the 4WD guys just go 'off-roading' with them, so they need the fat 'meats' on small rims and not the 'styling' type 'dubs' that the 2WD people often put on...

But, up here, anyway, we have 4WD Jimmys / Blazers just as much for coping with winters as going off-roading!

So, we also want to have some nice rims for summer cruising and styling!

(I know, 'cry me a river' etc etc)

bottom line:

The guys in my club all have 4WD / 2 door Jimmys and we are looking to find some really nice, but not hyper-expensive, wheels and tires (18"??)

A couple of the wheels on TireRack are kind of nice, but, is that all there is?

help!
