Should've kept my damn mouth shut. Currently sitting on the expressway with coolant temp over 275 attempting to tow the boat home with the A/C on.

I hate cars.

Made it home.

let the truck cool, then proceeded to the nearest resteraunt to get dinner and let it cool all the way down. Still spiked the temps over 260 again getting the 5 miles to the nearest anything. Did better on the way home, but still bumped over 220 once when getting off the expressway.

I really need to bite the bullet and just buy a bigger damn radiator if I'm going to tow with it.

Made a mistake yesterday. Didn't let the truck cool enough before popping the cap off to check it. Got a shower with scalding hot water/coolant. 1st and 2nd degree burns on my right arm and hand. Going to survive, but it hurts a good bit.

No idea if it was low or not. Have confirmed a head gasket failure with a combustion gas analysis on the coolant though last Thursday.

This trucks days in my possession are significantly numbered

You need to pull the steam vent hose off the crossover fitting at the heads while filling the radiator to purge all the air out of these trucks. Bet its got a huge air bubble
