Can't get my hands on new loaded control arms until next week. Can't go another 4 days without transportation. Going to put the old arm back in.

Looks like rockauto has pulled all of the left front lower ACDelco arms from the website. With any luck this is gonna save someone else some hassle.

Took about an hour to reassemble. Three tries to get the alignment close enough to drive. Should get me until next weekend. I'll give it another try then......maybe.....if I haven't traded it by then.

Can someone see if they can purchase the following part number from RockAuto? It shows for me, I can add it to my cart, then when I log in, it says it's been removed because it's not available.

ACDelco PN: 45D2496 (Front Lower Left Control Arm)

I need to get these arms figured out and the subsequent alignment, but really want the arms to match from side to side. If I can't get ahold of that arm I'll be forced into ordering an off brand for the left side. Not what I want to do, but what will happen if I have to.

Thanks for checking sir. Glad to know it's not just me.

As much as I hate to say it, I sent the majority of the work out for quote this afternoon. Have a friend who owns a small shop that I trust will do it right, and will work with me on the parts I have and the specific parts I want. I just don't have the time/patience to deal with it right now, but it still needs to be addressed.

Items sent out are:
Exhaust Manifold Gaskets
Water pump
160deg T-Stat
Lower Control Arms
Upper Ball Joints
Oil Change
Front/Rear Diff Fluid change
T-Case Oil Change
Alignment

I fully expect a $1,500 quote for all that. Working 50hrs a week, and trying to spend family time on the weekend sucks. I can't do it all, and this is what I DON'T want to do myself.

Not sure if I should turn in my "car guy" card or not at this point.

50 is the average. I'm two years out from 18hr semesters and 50hr weeks. I know the pain of overwork, have no fear. I'm also acutely aware that my "hard work" isn't even close to someone working in a more labor intensive career (neighbor is in site construction, and puts in as much or more time than I do) that does actual "work"......I work in a climate controlled office all day, this isn't "hard work" this is "working diligently".

Hadn't even thought of Amazon for car parts. I'll grab one from there if I don't hear back from my buddy in the next day or so. Thanks for the link!

Check out the very first review on that thing....exact same issue I had.

I'm rolling the dice and ordering it. We'll see if I actually get a left this time.

I generally will look up part numbers on Rockauto, and then search for them on Amazon. when it's all said and done pricing is usually similar. No real consistency on one being cheaper than the other. HOWEVER, I have a prime membership and with free shipping it usually makes amazon cheaper overall than rockauto.
