you know how much the dealership wants for them up here? $85 cdn each! So I guess i'll wait until I find them cheaper somewhere else. Actually I think at gmpartsdirect.com they were more like $60 cdn each.

Mine should be here any day (GMpartsdirect).

I'll be sure to post a pic here- I also have some new speaker covers I made for the doors...pretty unique, to say the least.

The biggest thing I couldnt tolerate was the fact that they are so "hollowed" out on the backside. Felt very uncomfortable to me...

So of course I fixed the problem...

Here is the backside of the soup ladels -I MEAN- handles:
PIC-

(BTW, I used 2 large lock-ties to hold the handles in the open position as shown)

This is after I filled them with Bondo and took the bulk of it down with a file/rasp. Note the heavy tape I used to mask the chrome off to avoid scratching it:
PIC-

With the tape removed and after sanding with 220grit and them some fine steel wool:
PIC-

Masked and ready for "chrome" spraypaint:

Finished and side view:

Although I don't have them installed yet, I know that they will be MUCH more comfortable now to grab on to.
