I guess I should have seen this coming.

A sad day indeed. Watching Erik Buell in that video was painful.

What little respect I had for Harley-Davidson just went down the drain. So much for being different, the Buell's were really starting to take off.

In my big picture view, its kinda like GM, having the same thing only different between brands. Except here you have 2 brands competing for basically the same buyers.

I just hope nhra doesn't go back to all the same sounding prostock motorcycles again. That used to be sooo boring.

I strongly disagree on this one.
H/D buyers are not Buell buyers and vice-versa. What little overlap there is would be the exception to the rule.
The motorcycles couldn't be more different and Buell had a unique position in the marketplace IMO.

I'm sure it all came down to dollars and cents like it always does. Buell was underperforming and was seen as a burden to H/D's bottom line.

They'll sell off MV Agusta but ditch Buell...... Why couldn't they at least TRY to find a buyer for Buell?

I think they should developed a 600cc and 1,000cc water cooled engine.
