Arrow Lifting S10 (questions)

Hi everyone, I am planning to lift my S10, and I was wondering what kit will you recommend installing? It is 2000, and I wanted to lift it by about 4 in. I am also concerned about one thing. I checked out some instructions on how they install these lift kits, and some (like this one)say that cutting is required to get the kit in. So does it depend on the kit I pick? Maybe there are kits that you can put without having to cut the truck? Or even if I cut, what will be the best way to coat that bare metal to prevent from rust?
I am sorry for asking so many questions, but that's the major mod that I want to be done the right way with no harm to my truck. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. I wont be able to help much as I don't know anything about lift kits.

For protecting your frame after modifications, check out products like POR15, KBS coatings, Chassis Black, etc. Sometimes good old Tremclad will work.
